Veerash Srikison is an admitted Advocate since 2003 and practices as a legal family mediator.

Family Mediator

She opened the Fair Practice organisation to assist people in mediating their conflicts, with offices in both Fourways and at the Bryanston Baby and Child Wellness Centre.

Her speciality is family mediation for unwed, separating, divorcing or post divorced couples or co-parents who are given an opportunity in mediation to each voice their issues and find a method of collaboration to ensure that legal costs are saved and time is used constructively during their mediation sessions.

Mediation allows the couple or co-parents to make an informed decision based on the legal requirements and the psychological impact their conflict and consequences have on themselves and their family. Veerash works closely with the psychologists and therapist at the Bryanston Baby and Child Wellness Centre to ensure that all members of the family are given the best assistance available and that decisions made are in the interest of everyone.

She facilitates the formulation of contact schedules, parenting plans/agreements, maintenance schedules and if needed the division of assets, which are each tailored in accordance with that specific couple or families needs.

Veerash has been awarded a cum laude merit in her Negotiation, Divorce Mediation and Labour Arbitration skills by the Arbitration Foundation of South Africa (AFSA) endorsed by the University of Pretoria.

She has further received accreditation as a mediator from the Conflict Dynamics organisation endorsed by the University of Stellenbosch – Business School.

Veerash has been internationally accredited as a mediator by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) in the UK.
